Felton Earls, CHR Member

Felton Earls is a Professor of Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Professor of Human Behavior and Development at the Harvard School of Public Health. He is currently Principal Investigator of the Project on Human Development in Chicago Neighborhoods. Dr. Earls is a member of the Institute of Medicine and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Physicians for Human Rights. Dr. Earls received an MD from Howard University School of Medicine in 1967 and did post-graduate training in neurophysiology at the University of Wisconsin and New York Medical College. He went on to study adult psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital and public health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Earls is the recipient of the Distinguished Psychiatrist Award, the Blanch F. Ittelson Award from the American Psychiatric Association, and the Dale Richmond Award from the Academy of Pediatrics.
