The International Union of Crystallography (IUCr) serves to build global interaction among research communities and promote advances in crystallography at the international level.
The U.S. National Committee for Crystallography (USNC/Cr) furthers the interests of the U.S. crystallography community in IUCr and promotes the intellectual vigor and diversity of the crystallographic community. It supports activities and issues in:
- Interdisciplinary Research,
- Research Resources and Facilities,
- Education and Travel Support,
- Crystallographic Databases, and
- Publication Standards and Ethics.

Congratulations
|
Professor D. Sayre of the Department of Physics at the State University of New York, Stony Brook, has been awarded the eighth Ewald Prize by the IUCr. Dr. Sayre received the prize for “the unique breadth of his contributions to crystallography, which range from seminal contributions to the solving of the phase problem to the complex physics of imaging generic objects by X-ray diffraction and microscopy, and for never losing touch with the physical reality of the processes involved.” The Prize will be presented to Dr. Sayre during the opening ceremony of the 2008 Congress.

Travel Fellowship Program
|

|
The USNC/IUCr, in cooperation with the American Crystallographic Association offers partial travel support fellowships to participate in the international IUCr Congresses. The awards are designed to cover the approximate costs of airfare and registration.
