Cynthia Samuelson is a Senior Fellow and Program Manager at the Logistics Management Institute. In this role, she serves as researcher and technical advisor for Information Technology studies and analyses for federal organizations. She came to LMI following retirement as Principal Director for Information Management at the Department of Defense and three years in private industry. In total, she has more than 20 years of experience in leading and managing complex public and private organizations responsible for providing information technology services. In recognition for her work, she has received numerous awards including the Secretary of Defense Medals for Meritorious Civilian Service and Exceptional Civilian Service and the Department of Transportation’s Bronze Medal. Ms. Samuelson earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Hampton University and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
