Directions from Airports
The Beckman Center is served by the John Wayne/Orange County Airport (SNA) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
John Wayne/Orange County Airport (SNA)
John Wayne Airport is located two miles from the Center and is served by Alaska, America West, American, Continental, Delta, Morris Air, Northwest, Southwest, TWA, United, US Air and five local commuter airlines. Recommended hotels in the Irvine area provide complimentary airport shuttle service. Automobile rental agencies provide various size cars at varying costs. Driving directions from John Wayne Airport are:
- From the airport, exit to the right on MacArthur Boulevard.
- Turn left at the next signal, Campus Drive.
- Continue on Campus Drive to University Drive.
- Turn right on University Drive and go to the second signal, California Avenue.
- Turn left on California Avenue, then turn right at the first street, Academy.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
LAX is the major international gateway into southern California. It is located approximately 50 miles from the Beckman Center. All major U.S. and international carriers serve LAX. Allow 1- 2 hours driving time to Irvine, depending on traffic. Automobile rental agencies provide various size cars and varying rates.

Collect your baggage, then call the above number or use the phone on the Ground Transportation Board. Pick-up is at the Van Stop area on the airport lower level.

Advance reservations are required. Information is available at hotel front desk or the Beckman Center reception desk.
Parking
Parking is free and the lot can accommodate up to 176 cars. However, we encourage guests to carpool, use hotel shuttles, a transportation company, or taxis when possible.
Note: For large conferences of more than 150 participants, please contact a Center Conference Manager at 949-721-2200 regarding additional ancillary parking arrangements.
