Manufacturing Board - Mission

The Board has taken on the mission to address the overarching technology policy issues in US manufacturing. This activity is designed to help align government and industry programs, and to assist policymakers with objective information. The Board will also address the strategic need for improvements in engineering design applications and practices. The result of these activities will also help to demonstrate the linkages and relevance to other Boards in the NRC. While endeavoring toward this higher goal, the BMED intends to continue be responsive to agency needs and to help agencies solve specific problems related to manufacturing and engineering design.
