John P. Kindinger is the Team Leader for Programmatic Risk Analysis in the Decision Applications Division of the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Prior to joining LANL, Mr. Kindinger was Manager of Risk Assessment Technology at ARES Corporation for 2 years and a senior consultant with PLG, Inc. in Newport Beach, CA, for 11 years. Before that, he was employed for 13 years as a staff engineer for the Consumers Power Company in Jackson, Michigan. Mr. Kindinger has extensive experience in risk assessment and safety analysis for the nuclear (commercial and defense), electric power, chemical and petroleum industries. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University and a MS in the Management of Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.
