STATISTICS ON NETWORKS WORKSHOP
National Academy of Sciences
2100 C Street, NW
Washington, DC
September 26-27, 2005
Disciplinary domains such as biology, social sciences, and telecommunications have created different kinds of statistical theory for inference on network data. The Committee on Applied and Theoretical Statistics of the National Academies conducted a workshop in 2005 to draw together experts from various domains and facilitate the sharing of their statistical, mathematical, and computational toolkits. Using networks for communications, social networks, and gene networks as examples, participants discussed network structures, data and measurement, robustness and fragility, visualization, and scalability.
