The Committee on Depression, Parenting Practices, and the Healthy Development of Children, organized under the Board on Children, Youth, and Families of the National Research Council and Institute of Medicine, is charged to conduct a study that will identify strategies on the identification, prevention, and treatment of depression as well as implementation of best practice to a large number of depressed parents and their families.
