Learning Science in Informal Environments – Practitioner’s Resource
The formal consensus study on Learning Science in Informal Environments will review the research and evidence on learning science in everyday activities, venue and non-venue based experiences, and media, in sites other than school. This report will make findings, conclusions, and recommendations for next steps on the status of informal science learning including a research agenda.
The Learning Science in Informal Environments – Practitioner’s Resource project will build on the work from the formal consensus study committee’s report and create a resource that brings those learnings to life. This resource is meant to support and enhance the work of providers of informal science learning settings across the lifespan.
The Oversight Group will help shape the resource, review drafts, and help maintain fidelity with the evidence-based finding from the formal study.
