Ashish Jha is assistant professor of Health Policy and Management, in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Jha is a practicing general internist with a clinical focus on hospital care. The major themes of his research include: quality of care provided by health care systems, with a focus on health care disparities as a marker of poor care; information technology among other tools as potential solutions for reducing medical errors and disparities while improving over-all quality; organizations that provide care for minorities and underserved populations and the role clinical information systems can play in improving their care. Dr. Jha is affiliated with the Veterans Health Administration as special advisor for quality, the Harvard Medical School as an assistant professor of medicine, and the Brigham and Women's Hospital as an associate physician. Dr. Jha currently holds a M.P.H. from the Harvard School of Public Health in 2004; a M.D. from the Harvard Medical School in 1997; and an A.B. from Columbia College in 1992.
