Ben Jensen is an analyst with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). At the OECD, Jensen’s responsibilities focus on the development of the Teaching and Learning Survey (TALIS) and the development of value-added modeling in education systems. Jensen also works on the Teacher Education for Diversity project, which examines how teachers are being prepared for the increasing diversity of their classrooms, and the development of international indicators concerning the organization and learning environment of schools. Prior to joining the OECD, Jensen worked for the Victorian Government in Australia where his research focused on taxation, government reform, and regional policy. He also previously worked at the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research where he led the education policy analysis section and was involved in projects related to social and education policy and inequality and neighborhood effects and education. Jensen also previously taught economics in the USA. He has a PhD from the University of Melbourne in Australia where he was a Ronald Henderson scholar.
