Nancy Smith is Deputy Director of the Data Quality Campaign. Dr. Smith is also a consultant for InfoSynthesis and Organization, where she has served on a variety of projects, including the federal Performance-Based Decision Making Initiative (PBDMI), a study of mobility in Denver for ESP Solutions Group, and an analysis of the Just for the Kids model for the National Center for Educational Accountabilty (NCEA). While at NCEA, she worked with many state education agencies and developed a standardized system for cleaning, analyzing, and programming the data for the Just for the Kids data model. Prior to NCEA, Nancy was employed at the Texas Education Agency in the Research and Evaluation division and the Accountability and School Accreditation division. She also conducted extensive program evaluation projects and participated in large-scale changes to the management information system at the Texas Department of Human Services. Dr. Smith received her doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin in 1997 in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Statistics, Psychometrics, and Program Evaluation.
