Research on 21^st Century Competencies:
An NRC Planning Process on Behalf of the Hewlett Foundation

The National Research Council convened a planning meeting on February 1, 2010 to inform the Hewlett Foundation about key research literatures related to 21^st century competencies. Following the planning meeting, experts wrote literature reviews on the role of 21^st century competencies in supporting positive outcomes in the workforce, civic participation, personal fulfillment and educational attainment.  The competencies of interest include: critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, and adaptive learning/learning to learn.
