Wesley Bruce has served as the Assistant Superintendent for the Center for Accreditation, Assessment, and Licensing within the Indiana Department of Education since 2003. Prior to that, he served as Director of the Division of School Assessment. Mr. Bruce served as Director of Evaluation, Research, and Testing at South Bend Community School Corporation for nine years, before which he spent 11 years in the Kanawha County Schools of Charleston, West Virginia. He chaired the Education Information Management Advisory Consortium for the Council of Chief State School Officers in 2006-07 and the NCES Forum Task Force on Accounting for Student Exits, Dropout, and Mobility. Mr. Bruce holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rice University and a graduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Charleston.
