Committee on Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Sciences
CAMOS has initiated the AMO volume of the next Physics Decadal Survey, AMO2010. While this study is being prepared and conducted, CAMOS will be dormant.
The Committee on Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Sciences is a continuing multidisciplinary group with expertise in atomic physics, molecular physics and chemistry, and quantum optics and optical and laser techniques. CAMOS will identify issues in these fields and provide a forum for discussion. It initiates and conducts special studies on newly arising problems and makes recommendations on their resolution.
