- The June 1996 edition of BPA News, the newsletter of the Board on Physics and Astronomy, is now available.
March 21, 1996
- The Committee on Nuclear Physics has been formed under the chairmanship of John Schiffer to carry out an assessment of the field as part of a new survey called Physics in a New Era.
- A Committee on Condensed-Matter and Materials Physics is being organized. To get input from the community, a structured Web chat has been created.
- The Board on Physics and Astronomy will meet on April 27-28 in Washington.

- The newsletter of the Board on Physics and Astronomy, BPA News, is now available in electronic format.
