Committee on Gravitational Physics
National Research Council
Statement of Task
The committee will prepare a report that will cover the following topics:
- Experimental Tests of General Relativity
- Gravitational Wave Detectors
- Gravitation Theory
- Conclusions and Recommendations
The study will treat experimental tests and detectors that are both ground-based and space based. It will assess the status of theoretical and experimental work in gravitation, describe the forefronts of the field, and identify the major opportunities for progress. This report is part of Physics in a New Era, a new survey of the field.
