Linda Bevilacqua is President of the Core Knowledge Foundation, with which she has been affiliated for ten years. She began with the Core Knowledge Foundation as an education writer and later served in the capacities of Director of the Preschool and Vice-President. She is the former supervisor of learning disabled programs for the Chesterfield County School District, near Richmond, VA and former Executive Director of the Learning Disabilities Research Council of Richmond, an advocacy group. As Executive Director, she wrote a parent guide for working with children with learning disabilities. She has also taught and conducted teacher practica with Head Start. Linda has classroom teaching experience from preschool (including Head Start) through sixth grade and administrative experience from preschool through high school. She holds a Master of Arts in Special Education from the University of Virginia.
