Dale W. Jorgenson
Dale Jorgenson is the Samuel W. Morris university professor at Harvard University. Jorgenson has conducted groundbreaking research on information technology and economic growth, energy and the environment, and applied econometrics. He chairs the Advisory Committee of the Bureau of Economic Analysis and was co-founder and chairman of the Board on Science, Technology and Economic Policy of the National Academies. Jorgenson has been honored with membership in the American Philosophical Society (1998), the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (1989), the U.S. National Academy of Sciences (1978), and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (1969), and with eight honorary degrees. He received the prestigious John Bates Clark Medal of the American Economic Association in 1971 and holds a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.
