Edward Hackett

Edward Hackett is a professor in the Department of Sociology at Arizona State University. He has been an NSF program officer (2.5 year rotator) and for 12 years a professor in the Department of Science and Technology Studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has written about peer review, the scientific career, the responsible conduct of research, and the organization and behavior of research groups in science and engineering. He received the B.A. degree from Colgate University in 1973 and Ph.D. from Cornell University in 1979.
