Gary VandenBos

Gary R. VandenBos is the Publisher for the American Psychological Association (APA) in Washington, DC, and the Secretary for the APA Publications and Communications (P&C) Board. He has overall responsibility for APA Journals, APA Books, and the APA PsycINFO abstract service. He has served as the Editor or Associate Editor of the American Psychologist, Journal of Clinical and Consulting Psychology, and Professional Psychology, as well as the Managing Editor of APA's all-electronic journal, Prevention and Treatment. He expanded the PsycINFO abstract database into one covering the entire history of psychology as a separate discipline (from 1887 to date), and led the full-text digitalization of all APA journals in full-text format, covering the period from 1986 to date. He was the behavioral science representative to the UNESCO-ICSU Electronic Publishing conference in Paris in 1996 and Oxford in 1998.
