ENRIQUETA C. BOND
Dr. Enriqueta Bond received her undergraduate degree in zoology and physiology from Wellesley College, master's degree in biology and genetics from the University of Virginia, and Ph.D. in molecular biology and biochemical genetics from Georgetown University. She is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Society for Microbiology, and the American Public Health Association. She serves on the Board of Health Sciences Policy at the Institute of Medicine, the Board of the Society for the Advancement of Research on Women's Health, and the Board of the North Carolina Biotechnology Center. Dr. Bond was executive officer of the Institute of Medicine from 1989 to 1994. Dr. Bond became president of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund in July 1994.
