Goren’s lecture will be on his recent work and experience in New Zealand as an Ian Axford Public Policy Fellow with the Group Maori of the New Zealand Ministry of Education where he examined the implementation of Ka Hikitia: The Maori Education Strategy 2008-2012. His talk will show how this strategy for New Zealand's indigenous population fared in its first year of implementation and will draw lessons that can be applied to the design and implementation of education policy in the United States.
