The Henry and Bryna David Endowment awards innovative research in the behavioral and social sciences by selecting a leading expert and researcher to write an article in their field to be presented at the National Academy of Sciences and published in Issues in Science and Technology.

This lecture will discuss the growing college affordability problem in higher education and highlight the implications cost trends have for college access and success. Dr. Long will also address ways to improve the effectiveness of efforts by the government and colleges and universities to use financial aid and other supports to help students.
