This document summarizes the various energy-related activities at the National Academies and is intended primarily for facilitating collaboration between different boards and divisions across the institution during its major study titled America’s Energy Future: Technology Opportunities, Risks and Tradeoffs. It contains mostly items from roughly 2005 to the present with the exception of older activities from the Board on Energy and Environmental Systems that are particularly relevant. The listed projects are in various stages of progress and the ones not yet completed include those in initial planning, approved to begin, or underway and ongoing.
