FOUNDATION GATEWAY

The National Academies’ Foundation Gateway is a resource for the foundation community, featuring links to items of particular interest to foundation representatives, including studies and reports supported by foundation funding as well as open meetings and other events.

The site also includes general information about the National Academies' mission, structure, and products and services; the monthly bulletin Philanthropy Horizons, with articles and announcements about Academies reports and events that we think will be of interest to the foundation community; and information about foundation involvement in Academies work.

To subscribe to Philanthropy Horizons, send a blank email to Philanthropy-Horizons-on@nap.edu. To unsubscribe to Philanthropy Horizons, send a blank email to Philanthropy-Horizons-off@nap.edu.

Current and recent issues of Philanthropy Horizons are available in our archive.

Two more-focused newsletters may be of interest as well:

Spotlight on Engineering, Technology and Policy focuses on developments in engineering and technology, including manufacturing and safety measures, information technology, sustainable development, and related intellectual property issues. To subscribe, send a blank email to engineer-on@LR.ListServe.com.

IOM News features the latest health-related news from the Institute of Medicine and the National Academies. To subscribe, send an email with “subscribe” in the subject to IOMNews-request@nas.edu. IOM News replaces Spotlight on Health, Science and Policy, which has been discontinued.

Comments or questions about the Foundation Gateway or about Philanthropy Horizons may be directed to Julie Ische at 202.334.2431.
