AT THE NATIONAL ACADEMIES

You can help the National Academies shape the future by supporting their work in science, engineering, and medicine. You may direct your gift to support a specific program area, or you may make an unrestricted gift, allowing the Academies to address areas of greatest need and opportunity. Unrestricted gifts give the Academies the freedom to initiate activities for which there are pressing needs but no government funding.

Moreover, your support enables the Academies to disseminate information to state and local policymakers, business leaders, doctors, researchers, teachers and students -- the people who can put that information to direct use in communities, businesses, hospitals, research facilities, and classrooms.

The building of a new National Academies facility in Washington, DC, also creates opportunities to recognize individuals or organizations. Information on current naming opportunities for lecture and conference rooms and exhibition galleries is available from the Academies Office of Development, 202.334.2431, or by sending an email to giving@nationalacademies.org.

The links below provide information on a small selection of program-oriented giving opportunities, organized by theme area. (More information about the seven theme areas is available in The Plan for The Future.) Additional giving opportunities are described in the Annual Fund portion of this website. If you have an idea for a gift that is not listed, please contact us at 202.334.2431 or giving@nationalacademies.org.
