The first day’s symposium, Science and Human Rights: A Crucial Alliance, included a keynote address by Network Executive Committee Member Abdallah Daar (Oman/Canada) and the Max Perutz Memorial Lecture by Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters member Erling Norrby.

Meeting participants, met to discuss the role of the Network, its accomplishments, current cases demanding immediate attention, and potential future endeavors.
