Travel to the Leopoldina:

Participants have several options for arriving in Halle (Saale):

  • The nearest international airport is Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ). From there, it is possible to take a train to Halle (Saale) Hauptbahnhof (the main train station), which is a five-minute walk to the hotel. Alternatively, a taxi from LEJ is approximately 15 minutes. Leipzig/Halle Airport may be reached by train or plane from Frankfurt or Munich.
  • From Berlin Tegel airport it is possible to take a taxi to Berlin Hauptbahnhof train station (25 €). From Berlin Hauptbahnhof, Halle/Saale is a 90-minute train ride.
  • It is possible to fly into Frankfurt Airport and take a train to Halle/Saale directly from the airport.

Accommodations:

A block of rooms has been reserved from May 25 – May 30 at Dorint Hotel Charlottenhof Halle (Saale). Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own accommodations; reservation instructions below. The meeting code (IHRN) can only be used if reservations are made by email or phone.

PLEASE NOTE: Participants must make reservations no later than 25 April, 2014, using the code “IHRN.” After 25 April, the number of available rooms will be very limited. Upon arrival, guests must either have a valid credit card or pay for their stay in advance.
