Review of the Styrene Assessment in the National Toxicology Program
12th Report on Carcinogens

Requested by Congress in P.L. 112-74, this new report, from the National Academies, reviews the substance profile for styrene in the most recent National Toxicology Program report and, through an assessment of styrene literature through November 2013, draws an independent conclusion about whether the chemical is known to be or reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen.

These briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on July 28, 2014 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press
