This report assesses whether there is evidence that any particular long-term health effects in veterans are associated with participation in a series of tests during the 1960s known as the Shipboard Hazard and Defense Project (SHAD).
This briefing was for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on May 30, 2007 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
