Review of the U.S. Department of Defense Air, Space, and Supporting Systems Science and Technology Program

Requested by Congress in PL 105-261, this new National Academies' report looks at the U.S. Department of Defense's science and technology program, and determines whether it contains an adequate technology base for projecting superiority in air and space systems, as well as their supporting information technology, from 2010 to 2020.

This briefing was for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on July 26, 2001 and is available, in its entirety, on the National Academy Press Web site.
