An Assessment of the Safety of the Anthrax Vaccine:
A Letter Report

This letter report, from a Committee of the Institute of Medicine, reviews the limited number of peer-reviewed, scientific studies that have been published concerning the safety of the anthrax vaccine. A more comprehensive report will follow.

A series of briefings for members of Congress and congressional staff only were held on April 3 and 4, 2000. The report was publicly released on April 4, 2000 and is available in its entirety on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
