Atlantic Salmon in Maine

Requested by Congress in PL 106-291, this final report identifies reasons for the depletion of wild Atlantic salmon populations in Maine, and recommends both urgent and long-term steps to aid their recovery. (An interim report was published in 2002.)

These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The final report was publicly released on January 20, 2004 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
