Biological Confinement of Genetically Engineered Organisms
This new report from the National Academies evaluates biological techniques, such as induced sterility, for preventing transgenic crops, fish, and shellfish from spreading in the wild and competing or breeding with other organisms.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on January 20, 2004 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
