Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans and Agent Orange Exposure
This new report from the Institute of Medicine explores whether scientific evidence can determine if “Blue Water Navy” veterans -- those who served aboard deep-water vessels during the Vietnam War -- could have been exposed to Agent Orange or dioxin from the herbicide.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on May 20, 2011 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
