Analysis of Cancer Risks in Populations near Nuclear Facilities: Phase I
The first phase of a two-phase study, this new report from the National Academies identifies methods and approaches for how to design and conduct a study of potential cancer risk in populations around power plants and other nuclear facilities across the U.S. Its findings will inform the risk assessment to be completed in Phase 2.
This briefing was for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on March 29, 2012 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
