Requested by Congress in P.L. 111-3, this new report from the National Academies provides guidance to Congress on efforts to measure the health status of children and adolescents and the quality of their care ranging from preventive care, treatments for acute conditions, and treatments aimed at relieving or correcting physical, mental, and developmental conditions.
