Clinical Practice Guidelines We Can Trust
Requested by Congress in P.L. 110-275, this new report from the Institute of Medicine recommends eight standards for developing reliable clinical practice guidelines.
This report was released in conjunction with a related report on methods for developing systematic reviews.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on March 23, 2011 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
