Coal: Research and Development to Support National Energy Policy
Requested by Congress in P.L. 108-447, this study broadly examines coal resource assessments, technologies, and research and development (R&D) activities in the United States in order to formulate an appropriate, integrated roadmap of future needs and help define and construct a national strategy for coal R&D and resource assessments.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on June 20, 2007 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
