Confronting the Nation's Water Problems:
The Role of Research
Requested by Congress in P.L. 107-63, this study examines the federal government's research on water resources, in terms of money spent and topics covered, and compares it with the federal investment in water research initially made over 30 years ago.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on June 17, 2004 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
