The Effects of Commuting on Pilot Fatigue
Requested by Congress in P.L. 111-216, this report assesses what is known about commuting practices among pilots -- some of whom live far from the airports where they are based -- and how these commuting practices affect fatigue levels.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on July 6, 2011 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
