A 21st Century System for Evaluating Veterans for Disability Benefits
A 21st Century System for Evaluating Veterans Disability Benefits examines and recommends improvements in the medical evaluation rating of veterans for the benefits provided by the VA, particularly whether the tools and methods used in the evaluation should be updated to ensure that they adequately address the impact of disabilities on all aspects of veterans' daily lives, not just their ability to work.
This briefing was for members of Congress and congressional staff. The report was publicly released on Thursday, June 7, 2007 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
