Evaluation of Chemical Events at Army Chemical Agent Disposal Facilities

This new report, from the National Research Council, evaluates accidental releases of chemical agents and other problems that have occurred during the incineration of the chemical weapons stockpiles at two storage depots, and recommends steps to ensure that new facilities are operated as safely as possible.

This briefing was for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on December 3, 2002 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
