Gulf War Veterans: Measuring Health

A new report from the Institute of Medicine, Gulf War Veterans: Measuring Health, identifies relevant questions and issues to evaluate the health status of active-duty troops and veterans deployed to the Gulf War. The report also recommends research designs and methods that could be used to address those questions.

A series of briefings were held for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on September 14, 1999 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
