Gulf War and Health:
Volume 8: Update of Health Effects of Serving in the Gulf War
Requested by Congress in P.L. 105-277 and P.L. 105-368, this latest in a series of reports reviews the science about potential links between health problems and military service during the 1994 Persian Gulf War. The review includes peer-reviewed studies published since the IOM's 2006 report, Gulf War and Health, Volume 4: Health Effects of Serving in the Gulf War.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on April 9, 2010 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
