Health Risks from Dioxin and Related Compounds:
Evaluation of the EPA Reassessment
Requested by Congress in P.L. 108-7, this new report from the National Academies examines the scientific soundness of a 2003 draft assessment of the health risks of dioxin and similar compounds, including the evidence used to classify dioxin as a human carcinogen.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on July 11, 2006 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
