Incentives and Test-Based Accountability in Education
This new National Academies’ report examines evidence on the effects of incentive programs in education, which impose sanctions or offer rewards for students, teachers, or schools on the basis of students’ test performance.
This briefing was for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on May 26, 2011 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
