Recapturing a Future for Space Exploration:
Life and Physical Sciences Research for a New Era
Requested by Congress in P.L. 110-161, this second of two reports sets a research agenda for the next decade that will allow the use of the space environment to solve complex problems in life and physical sciences as well as address the barriers to human space exploration.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on April 5, 2011 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
