An Examination of United States and International Programs in Astrobiology
At the request of Congress in PL 106-391, this new report reviews current programs at NASA and other U.S. and foreign efforts that are directed toward determining the extent of life in the universe.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on July 19, 2002 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
